Retail Membership

The Hardware Association of WA (HAWA) is made up of approximately 200 members including independent retailers, suppliers (both Sate and National), corporate and banner groups and their retail outlets.

In conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia Inc, we offer specialist services in the following areas, saving your business valuable time and money:

• Access to the CCI Business Advice Centre for assistance on any business matter i.e. rates of pay, redundancies, employment contracts, superannuation etc.
• Representation on employee related matters in courts, tribunals and commissions is available at competitive rates;
  HAWA Quick Guide. This guide is an almost exhaustive guide on the hiring, managing and termination of staff, together with regular updates provided free of charge.
• Information Dissemination: each month members receive a copy of the CCI Business Pulse, and every two months 'Off the Shelf' - HAWA newsletter, a publication containing up-to-date information for members of the HAWA Association. Members are also able to subscribe to other specialty CCI services, such as CCI Employer Alerts and HR Link.
• Specialised consultancy services are available for implementing workplace agreements and other employment systems are available at special member rates; and
• Specialised consultancy services for Occupational Health and safety, dangerous goods, workers' compensation etc.

Throughout the year the Association also run regular functions and training seminars allowing retailers and suppliers to network and further promote the industry.
