Industry Leaders Luncheon
Peter Davis, Managing Director, Bunnings Building Supplies
Over 90 members, including a number of inter-state visitors attended the HAWA Industry Leaders Luncheon held on Thursday, 11 March 2004 at the Perth Parmelia Hilton.
The first of a series of functions planned for 2004, the event featured Peter Davis, Managing Director of Bunnings Building Supplies as keynote speaker. Peter delivered a relaxed but very informative presentation outlining the company’s history and financial performance and its market strategy of lowest prices, widest range and best service. Of particular interest was the opportunity to learn first hand of the store network developments planned by Peter and his team, which in addition to the continued roll out of the Series 3000, 5000 and 7000 warehouses will also include a mix of dedicated trade outlets and conversion of traditional stores to ‘red racking.’ Peter also touched upon key supplier issues including collaborative logistics, the Bunnings Internet Trading System, supplier accreditation and other supply chain management issues.
